In the early twentieth century swinging was commonly called “Wife swapping”. As it gained popularity and media attention it changed its name to “Swinging” and these days it is regarded as “The Lifestyle” (bergstrand, 2000). Regardless of the name, the attitudes of swinging have changed in the last century.
