While swinging involves having sex with people other than one’s spouse, the claim is that it enhances the relationship of the swinging couple both sexually and emotionally.

So last night Roxy and I met a new couple, let’s call them the “International” couple. We had been emailing back and forth for about a month, and finally found the right night to connect for drinks and dinner. They came to our neighborhood and met us at the local pub. First impressions, so-so.

The last time we saw the “fit” couple we they had asked before hand if we would be willing to engage in full swap with them. I thought the fact they asked in advance showed class and respect for both Roxy and I and if has left me wondering, how do you manage etiquette when swinging? Without knowing exactly how your partner and the other couple will act in different situations, there is always some risk involved.

Not that we are “hiding” but Roxy and I have decided to keep ourselves somewhat hidden from the public spotlight. We are on some of the swinging and lifestyle sites out there, but at least we know that people on those sites are also in the lifestyle themselves, giving us both reasons to keep some level of anonymity.
